How are we different to other Wedding Invitation Suppliers?

When we say our wedding invitations are 'bespoke' and 'tailored to your needs' we really do mean it.

Katharine Swift, (owner and designer of Papermonkeys) is the only real wedding stationery artist in the UK, everything you see on the website Katharine has created.

We believe that we are the only company in the UK who will paint your very own watercolour illustrations for your wedding stationery. Your invitation designs will be unique, the illustrations, the font, the wording, the typeface, colour and layout will be designed specifically for you.
 
We have a studio that you can come to visit and see all our wonderful creations or we can deal with your order entirely online.

We feel it is very important to get to know the bride and groom and also to find out as much as we can about the plans for your wedding day, this way we can interpret your ideas and create the perfect wedding invitations.
 
We specialise in creating watercolour illustrations for our customers but you can choose to have a more graphical design or even laser cutting, foil blocking, lithographic print, thermal print or letterpress, you decide!
 
We can create a new wedding invitation design or you can choose an existing invitation design to 'make yours'
 
When we are producing new wedding stationery designs we can create a design package to suit you.
 
Some people know exactly what they want and commission us to paint one image - say, the venue - this would cost approx £40
 
Some people want images to reflex lots of different things, the bride, the groom, the wedding, hobbies interests - We will then create a package to suit your requirements and budget.

We will co-ordinate all wedding stationery items - Save the date cards, Wedding invitations, evening invitations, RSVP cards, Pocketfolds Invitations, additional information cards, All table stationery, guest books, frames and thank you cards

About our Brides

Our brides typically are looking for a unique design for their wedding invitations. They don’t want an off-the-shelf invite from any typical wedding invitation supplier.
 
Our Brides know what they want and have trawled the internet and have not found what they are looking for on the larger wedding invitation sites. They usually come across Papermonkeys via “bespoke wedding stationery” search via google and are always relieved to be given a fresh approach to their wedding invitations.
They love our soft, whimsical style of watercolour illustrations and are very excited to use Papermonkeys to create a range of illustrations just for them.
 
We ask our brides to send us photographic starting points for each of the illustrations they require, this ensures they get exactly what they want.

Venue Illustration is a favourite with our brides, and we have many customers who are getting married abroad in a beautiful location, say in the Italian or French Riviera, and want an extensive wedding invite, generally a pocket fold invite, containing numerous illustrations of the area and architecture. The Pocket fold Wedding Invitations then contains all the information their guests may need, such as how to get there, places to stay, events planned the day before the wedding etc. A popular illustration to compliment an invitation such as this is the painting of a ‘fairy tale map’ which takes in the coast line perhaps and the various venues that will be used through the whole wedding event.
